What I have been doing the last two days

Yesterday:
Get up and check email early. Go to jury duty. Actually called to panel. Honestly answer question, "Do you think it's ever possible for a police officer to lie?". Yes "Why?" Any number of reasons, including bigotry. Defendent is African American female. Prosecutor and arresting officer white males. Am not called for jury.

Go to Trader Joe's, Library, and post office to make Random Acts of Kindness thing.
Go home, eat.
Take boy to guitar.
Come home, throw together burritos. Use canned beand for first time in years, showing how swamped I am.
HRH and I go protest war, hour of knitting group, hour and half of stuffing and counting Easter Eggs for church hunt.
Today:
Get up to sound of boys using knitting needles as swords. Yell. Do laundry.Eat. Do laundry.Clean boys' room (including actually placing books on shelves) Do laundry. Clean HRH's room. This takes almost two hours. Throw away a bag each of trash and recycling. Worry about her magpie tendencies and recall the 17 bags of trash family had to throw away when mom died. Do laundry. Eat. Require older kids to put away laundry while I finish last of mine. Make Boy do email to advisory teacher. Send boy to shower. Remind him to use soap. Send girl to shower. Blog. Remind self to get first communion card signed by everyone. Just hours away !!!

Exciting time!

Did you feel the change that I felt protesting lately?

Nothing like truth-telling to get off of juries. I wouldn't really know - they don't actually hardly ever call me, even though I always vote. They KNOW.

Canned beans are my life and my salvation.

I think so. We were getting a lot less honks and thumbs up than 6 months ago- also less glares and flipping off. People aren't seeing us like they used to. Maybe weekly protests are a mistake?
